Valve is looking to incorporate some of the best Counter Strike mods of old into the latest version of its first-person shooter, Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

The first mod confirmed will be “Arsenal Mode”, which has been re-named from the Counter Strike: Source mod, Gun Game. Arsenal: Arms Race and Arsenal: Demolition will be created by the original Counter Source team and will be playable across eight maps.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will expand upon the team-based action gameplay that it pioneered when it was launched 12 years ago. CS: GO features new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content

Counter Strike: Global Offensive will be available on PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network in early 2012.
