Realistic boxing experience

The impact of Wii Sports was and still is phenomenal and now Ubisoft is the latest company to reveal their sporting effort on Wii, in the form of Victorious Boxers Challenge, a realistic boxing experience that will utilise the Wii-mote and Nunhcuck to bring the sport to life.

From the first person perspective, you can play multiplayer or through the story mode, as you follow the story of Ippo Makunouchi, a high school student who is bullied by his classmates, while he tries to rise to the top of the professional boxing ranks.

We're promised special moves and 25 different boxers, as well as 10 different fighting locations, from boxing gyms to the Las Vegas Arena.

They'll be three different methods of control :

• Swing Mode: very realistic
• Pointer Mode: very precise
• Classic Controller Mode : easy to play

Victorious Boxers Challenge is due for release on the 28th March. Where's the screenshots then...eh?

No screenshots, eh? Pah, the Wii is just a pure gimmick. A one trick pony.

I'll take the flames here but:
* Wii is for kids, girls & noobs
* PS3 is for blu ray movies
* Xbox360 is for real gaming

See here - Please take note of the ears, brain, lungs and heart sections. In just a few short sentences you've demonstrated whats in those sections :). Sorry to say, but the points you raise are very inaccurate.
You forgot to slag off PC users too…. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. You've obviously not really played that many Wii games, otw you'd have a different opinion… Or maybe you only really enjoy a certain type of game - ones that the Wii controllers and GPU cant really handle…

Still back to the news - sounds good - waiting for a proper boxing game to be done well - could be brilliant if implemented correctly.

The Wii is great for when we've got friends round, house parties etc. So many fun little novelty games.

the PS3 has simply stunning graphics, and too few good games (but hey i don't spend many hours at home)

the x360 is currently un-plugged. The only game that made me think my money wasn't wasted was viva pinatia. FPS belong on the PC, and i'm a little tired of the same old GTA franchise (when everyone knows it peaked with GTA:London!)
