We haven't got time for this, it's Mario Kart Wii day!

If you boot up your Wii this morning you'll discover that four new titles have been added to the Virtual Console, including the Commodore 64 classic, Impossible Mission.

If playing as a secret agent and attempting to stop the evil genius, Professor Atombender is not your bag then California Games, the chart -topping 1987 sport's games, is also available, which includes such events as skateboarding and surfing. Both of these titles cost 350 points.

Also in today's update you'll find two SEGA games up for grabs. Fantasy Zone, the surreal arcade game that was created by SEGA for the Master System in 1986 and Wonder Boy, the first game in the long-running platform-based series are both available for 500 Wii points a piece.

Wii's Virtual Console now houses dozens of classic titles which first saw the light of day on consoles such as the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Mega Drive. The latest console to be added to the list was the Commodore 64, with Uridium being the first title to be made available at the end of March 2008, but today sees the launch of the first Sega Master System game!

Ah mate, Fantasy Zone!

The classic of all classics!

All you need from the Master System era is that and Alex Kidd in Miracle World and the jobs a good un.
Impossible Mission on the 64 was one of the hardest games I ever played, never managed to complete it. You get an hour to do it but everytime you die time gets taken off you. Really good early platformer though, remember being wowed by the speech at the start of he game “Another Visitor, Stay awhile, Stay forever!”

California Games was pretty cool. Used to play it head to head with my 2 brothers passing the joystick between us. Once you get used to the events it is pretty easy though. Personally thought that the best event was the surfing, clocking up points doing 360's etc from the top of the wave. If you wiped out you got the jaws theme and that famous fin!
i wasted 500 points on california games, its pap :(
So the fond memories are literally that with California Games. Mind you never really wanted to fire it up for old times sakes on the 64 emulator I have. What I remember of it was it was great to play with my brothers for a few hours, also loved the Summer and Winter Games series from US Gold.

They need to get up the Last Ninja series (System 3 games in general and also the Thalamus Games) and some of the old arcade conversions like Black Tiger and the origional Bionic Commando, now those would be well worth the points!
They also need to do AvP from the Jaguar and Return Fire from the 3DO, imo. :D
