Enhanced graphics and controls

Graphics have been enhanced and it’s clear to see the changes in the scenery and the character models as well as some of the impact and vibrancy of the alien weaponry, such as the awesome meteor strike. The audio of the main characters and the whirring noises of the spaceship are solid and the creators have done a fine job in grasping the sounds of the alien weapons. Disappointingly, the game’s engine didn’t feel up to the job in places and during heavy fire-fights the action often slows down, but overall Destroy All Humans 2 is a smooth game playing experience with a stable, effective control system and decent game mechanics.

Destroy All Humans 2 also has a co-op mode, which adds a new dimension to the gameplay; double the havoc, double the fun! The second game in the series improves on the repetitiveness of the first even though the open-ended gameplay still feels quite linear. In Destroy All Humans 2, the weapons are still entertaining to use and the storyline is distinctively impressive, but ultimately it’s the humour that will keep you ploughing through right to the end.

Pros
Very Funny
Weapons and abilities are great fun to use
Good storyline

Cons
Feels like an expansion of Destroy all Humans
Missions can get repetitive

A humourous blast with a good variety of weapons, but nothing innovative in terms of gameplay.
