PRESS RELEASE

Not sure if you remember Plex Labs, but it’s a hub for the team to explore innovation - be it third party apps or passion projects - and to occasionally bring these ideas to light. It’s been a little bit since Plex has rolled anything out from Labs, but that changes today with two new apps: an updated Plexamp and a new feature called Plex Dash. Both features are Plex Pass only.

The completely redone Plexamp is a best-in-class audio engine that lets you create the ultimate audio experience, with a parametric equalizer, Sweet Fades™, and loudness leveling. Other features include:

  • Clean and elegant design that makes it easy to search and explore your library
  • Mix Builder to design your own mix or radio station, or browse your personal charts to see your favorite music across time
  • Once you find the music you love, download it for easy offline listening
  • Plexamp is available on five platforms: iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux

Plex Dash is a brand new single-purpose app dedicated to Plex server administration. Features include:

  • See all playbacks, even across multiple servers
  • New ways to edit your artwork and make your library look even nicer
  • More administrative power, such as scanning for new media, fixing incorrect matches, checking on server resource usage, tweaking library settings, and viewing server logs live
