Windows Home Server isn't without its faults, and corrupting user files has left it in dire need of a patch or two.

Fortunately, that patch is coming soon in the form of Power Pack 1. Microsoft is preparing to launch a beta of the software update in early June, and although a date for a final release remains unknown, Microsoft promises to "deliver a fix of the highest quality".

Microsoft's Philip Churchill says:

"As well as including the fix for the data corruption bug, PP1 will also include a host of other bug fixes and new capabilities."

If you're a Windows Home Server user, and want to help Microsoft make it better through feedback and testing, head on over to the Microsoft Connect website where you can now register your interest in the forthcoming Power Pack 1 beta.
