Quiet week sees Mario and Sonic hit number one for the fourth time

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games has hit the top of the UK multi format videogame charts this week for the fourth time since its release.

According to data from Chart Trak, the success of the game is mainly due to the huge sales of the DS version, which accounts for 93% of the total sales of the game.

The only other news worthy of note is that Midway’s collection of classic skill games for Wii, Game Party, has debuted at number 15.

Next week we’re expecting a few new entries from the likes of Unreal Tournament III for PS3 and EA’s FIFA Street.
