Electronic Arts has paid tribute to the death of Michael Jackson by releasing two costumes for its Battlefield Heroes games designed to mimic those worn by the superstar in two of his most famous videos.

The Smooth Suit and Thuggin Outfit should be available shortly and can be downloaded for free, EA has apparently told MTV. Well, it says free, but the costumes will actually cost you Victory Points which are earned via in-game mission completion. So you're still going to have to earn them.

Either this is a fitting tribute by EA, or a shrewd and rather inappropriate advertisment for its shooter, which officially launched last week.
