Left 4 Dead 2’s “The Passing” was scheduled for release on the 31st of March, but sadly this date was postponed to an unspecified time. Late last week Valve revealed that it would be releasing the DLC sometime this week.
The Passing, essentially, is a crossover between L4D and L4D2, adding a chapter to the campaign showing how the team from the previous game survived and how they bumped into the current crew.
Additionally, Valve confirmed that The Passing will include new weapons, including an M60 machine gun, and a new type of infected, which can drop random items when killed. Valve also revealed that there will be new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes and a new co-op challenge mode.
The downloadable content will be available on Xbox Live for 560 Microsoft Points and free on the PC.
