Dam Amrich blogs some interesting news

Activision have announced plans to release three new Call of Duty titles between now and April 2012

Activision blogger Dam Amrich wrote this on the Facebook page Gamers Against Bobby Kotick and Activision.

"As for COD, they've confirmed three games in the next two years," Amrich wrote. "Seeing as how there is a pattern of one new COD game every year, this is one new COD game from one new developer, and in a different genre from the core games we've seen."

There has been a huge question mark over the COD series since Infinity Ward’s Jason West and Vincent Zampella left the company, but this recent post has breathed new life into the game.

One new developer? So that means they're opening it out to a third?

I think CoD might be heading towards a downward spiral somehow, just got a bad feeling about it as things stand.

Im intregued to see what treyarch's next game looks like, World at War ended up (after aout 3GB of patching) as a pretty solid game just a shame it had already lost most of its fanbase.

The series as a whole is going down hill though, especially with the suggestions of them moving to a subscription service. I for one will NOT be buying into a subscription FPS at all. I would rather play the substandard free FPS games that are around or just stick with what im playing now.

I don't think shutting down IW is going to help in this plan.

The Treyarch offering for this year will still be on track, but after that?
