After all the speculation, and not to mention the recent goings on between Activision and Modern Warfare 2 developer Infinity Ward, the next Call of Duty title has officially been announced. Call of Duty: Black Ops puts players in the role of elite special forces soldiers undergoing off-record maneuvers.

The game portrays the birth of the special forces during the Cold War with missions spread across various locations, including the jungles of Vietnam, Communist isle of Cuba and even the icey wastes of the Arctic.
