The name of the sequel to Codemaster's Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising has been confirmed as "Operation Flashpoint: Red River."

The Official Xbox Magazine carries a world's first preview of the title, which is due to ship in 2011, and describes it as being "tighter, more focused" than its predecessor and a game that will focus on providing a realistic warfare experience.

Now that the first preview has landed we'd expect a full announcement, further details and screenshots to land very soon.
