The Crysis 2 multiplayer demo debuts on January 25, 2011 exclusively on Xbox 360 ahead of its release date on March 22, 2011.

The demo will be exclusive to Xbox live gold members and will feature one map, Skyline, available in two gameplay modes, Team Instant Action and Crash Site - the only two gmae mode that have currently been announced.

Crash Site is a team-based game mode where 2 sides compete for control of Ceph Drop Pods launched periodically into the map by dropships patrolling overhead. Teams score points by guarding the pods and keeping enemies at bay.

Team Instant Action is a standard game mode pitting 2 teams against each other. Kill as many opponents as possible, whilst attempting to minimize your own deaths. "Use the Nanosuit to sneak up on enemies in Stealth mode, or charge in and gun them down in Armor."

It'll be interesting to see how the graphics come out ‘real world’ on the 360, of course this must be played on PC though, upsetting Crytek went with the 360 demo instead of their PC fans.

Does no-one do SP demos anymore?!
i smell console port for the pc version

I played the PC version at EuroGamer last year and have to say, it didn't feel like a port at all.
good to know
I also thought it would be a port since the 360 demo is going to be an exclusive…. but if you say it didnt feel like it then thats good to know!.

Shame they still didnt do a PC demo, im sorry but how does exclusive demos help promote anything? If anything they are just restricting it to xbox 360 owners who want to buy it and not letting ps3/pc gamers have a look.

Anyways, that trailer looked pretty damn epic, i cant wait to see the final product. I wonder if they will make it so you can rank up just like in the battlefield series (no not cod… cod had it later than bf!) as personally i dislike losing ranks/weapon unlocks after every match :P
