Unravel, developed by Coldwood Interactive for Electronic Arts, will become available worldwide on 9th February 2016. Celebrating the release announcement of its physics-based puzzle platformer, EA has published a new video trailer starring 'Yarny', as embedded below. You might remember this game as being a stand-out completely new IP at EA's E3 media briefing back in June.

Yarny is the adorable central character in this game and is made of just a single strand of thread. "Yarny's quest is to mend broken bonds and the yarn represents the love and connection between people. Along the way, we'll test your cleverness with environment-based puzzles inspired by our home in Northern Sweden," explained Martin Sahlin, Creative Director at Coldwood.

Set in a charming Scandinavian wonderland the game sees Yarny traverse sometimes difficult environments tasked with solving 'physics based' puzzles. Sometimes it's as simple as using Yarny's thread to swing across a gap or descend from a treetop, other times you will need to be more clever and creative to progress in the game.

Unravel will be available via digital download on Origin for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be priced at $19.99 in the US and is available with a 10 per cent pre-order discount to EA Access subscribers (on Xbox One).

All credit to them, that is a truly beautiful looking game. If it plays even half as well it deserves support.
Origin? Sorry I will pass…

Make it available in steam and gog and we are talking (and keep it in origin too I don't mind)
Unfortunately I'm the same. I don't even play the gree ganes on Origin, so there's no chance of me buying them, ironic considering I use Steam drm, I duppose I trust them more.

I'll give them credit though, as already said, the game looks beautiful. Never thought I'd like an EA game again.

The problem is, they've spent so many years pissing on their paying customers, its such an uphill struggle trying to change that image,
I saw this last week on origin and immediately searched steam hoping to see it but alas no, nowt to be found. I really wish EA would put there entire catalogue on steam instead of cherry picking the best stuff for origin only.
I dont really see the issue with Origin. Unless I have missed something?
