Rockstar's L.A. Noire is confirmed as the UK's fastest-selling I.P, after it shot to the top of the videogame charts on its opening launch weekend.

L.A Noire has so far received an average of 90% on review-aggregation site Metacrtic, with the likes of Total Video Games describing it as "A defining moment in video games on this generation," and GamePro saying that "It's a bold, cinematic step forward in a genre that's dying for innovation, and its implementation of the MotionScan technology is truly a game-changer."

The only other new entry in the top 10 was from The Witcher II: Assassins of Kings, which has performed very well dropping in at number 5 considering it's only available on the Windows PC platform and not a mulit-format title.
